Since stepping off the corporate ladder in June, last year, Makeda Solomon, under the Lights Movement Banner, declared her mission to “touch the lives of as many children as possible through the creative and transformational medium of drama”. Ms. Solomon began acting 24 years ago in the United Kingdom where she was born. She told The Gleaner, “Growing up as part of a minority group, being involved in theatre provided me with a means of self-expression and boosted my sense of identity.”

Ben & Jerry?s ice cream factory ( www.benjerry.com ), Vermont?s number one tourist attraction, is located in Waterbury, in the north central part of the state, a few minutes northwest of the capital of Montpelier, and about halfway between the year-around resorts of Stowe and Sugarbush (both a little over 12 miles away). Burlington and Lake Champlain are about 25 miles northwest.
