Travel News: American Is The First Airline To Offer Full Inflight Internet In The U.S.
Finally, customers traveling on American Airline’sBoeing 767-200 aircraft are now able to connect to the internet and access complete coast-to-coast coverage on flights between New York and San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles, and New York and Miami.
“Aircell’s Gogo will be available to customers as a fee-based service in all cabins. Aircell will charge $12.95 on flights more than three hours, which include American’s Boeing 767-200 flights. Each paid Gogo session includes full Internet access. Cell phone and Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) services are not available.” Read more

American Airlines: Testing new food on flights
Gone are the days where one would fly on a domestic airline and would be served a meal or a snack. These days airlines are charging for meals, American Airlines has been selling food in coach since 2005.
American Airlines announced yesterday, in the next two months they are going to be testing light meals on flights like snacks and beverages. On selected routes each item will be tested for a week from sandwiches at $5, snack and beverages $3 and fresh antipasto platter and $10 for fruit and cheese plate.

AAdvantage members in November can earn 25,000 bonus miles for flying on two round-trip flights on eligible routes. The bonus miles are enough for a free round-trip, so the offer amounts to getting a freebie after two paid flights. The list of qualifying flights includes about 20 routes, 11 of which are to/from Chicago. The bonus may be earned twice, for a maximum of 50,000 bonus miles.
