Airline News: Airliner Removes Life Vests From Flights

Once again Airlines are cutting down to save fuel. MSNBC reports that Jazz a regional airline of Air Canada has announced in order to save fuel from the weight it is going to remove life vests from its flights. Jazz passengers will be able to use their seat cushions as floating devices in case of an emergency. Jazz does not fly over the ocean, all flights are transcontinental and fly 50 miles from shore on all of their 880 daily flights to 85 destinations.
