Gone are the days where one would fly on a domestic airline and would be served a meal or a snack. These days airlines are charging for meals, American Airlines� has been selling food in coach since 2005.

American Airlines announced yesterday, in the next two months they are going to be testing light meals on flights like snacks and beverages. On selected routes each item will be tested for a week from sandwiches at $5, snack and beverages $3 and fresh antipasto platter and $10 for fruit and cheese plate.
